Illumination truss (noun)
Lighting truss is a specialized framework typical manufactured from aluminum. Available in two three and four cord configurations with the three cords being the most widely used in the illumination industry. Lighting truss is fabricated by taking long pre-determined lengths “Cords” of typically two inch aluminum tubing and welding a smaller webbing normally ½ inch in diameter at 45 degree angles giving it superior strength yet is light in weight.
Lighting truss can be purchased in modular form or can be fabricated into any custom shape to meet the design requirements.
